" LA BARCA"
These latest paintings by Robin Puplett
are for a special exhibition to be held in Italy. 60
limited edition skateboard decks were presented to various
artists throughout Europe by the famous "La Barca"
store on Lake Garda to be painted ready for the exhibition

Sadly Team Wafe bids Lisa Rowlidge a fond farewell
this month as she moves on to new challenges. Her support,
dedication, enthusiasm and smile have been a firm fixture
in Wafe for several years now and she will be missed
immensly. All that is left to say is... thank you Lisa
and we wish you the best of luck in your future! |

MIXING
IT UP
Recently Wafe team skater Johan Nordin and Wafe team cyclist
Robin Puplett hooked up in Austria for some time on the
slopes. Swapping the bike/skateboard for snowboards was
a fun change of pace during the winter. Now both Team
riders are back to doing what they do best and getting
ready for a strong 2009 in their respective fields. |

“Distance”
Here

AIRTIME
Wafe Team Rider Charlie Tidball
seen here in action this month! Charlie has been enjoying
the snow (and air!) in various Austrian resorts over the
winter and as Wafe’s only snowboarder has been doing
us proud with some super strong riding and a great attitude.
Now the season is drawing to a close he is squeezing in
as much snow time as possible before swapping over to
a summer of enjoying the mountains on a mountain bike
instead! |

TEAM WAFE
welcomes SEAN SCOTT
For 2008, Sean Scott will be sporting the wafe team colours
at several UK mountain bike events, with a key focus on
the Southern XC series.
Sean is no stranger to wafe having ridden as part of the
wafe mountain bike team for various 24hour events over
the years, and training / competing with Matt over the
last few seasons. Sean will be looking to improve on his
8th place overall in the 2007 Southern XC series.

The Snow
is Falling
Based in Innsbruck this season Wafe team rider Charlie
Tidball has already been clocking up the days out on the
mountain. Renowned for his gutsy riding and imaginative
lines Charlie continues to push himself and his snowboarding
whilst maintaining his philosophy to “just have

For the second year running Robin Puplett was invited
to paint at the Ski & Snowboard Show in London's
Olypia. Joining several other board-sports inspired

Wafe Out Front !
"Matt Field has been competing
in the season long Southern XC Series of mountain bike
races and it has to be said is doing very well. So it
came as a pleasent surprise to receive this photo of
Matt at the head of affairs in the latest round although
is does seem that no one was as surprised as Matt -

24 hours of Mountain Biking
"The Kona Sleepless In The Saddle 24hour mountain
bike race saw Wafe enter not 1, not even 2 but 3 teams!
Yes you read it right... we took the event (well the
campsite at least) by storm and spent 24hours riding
bikes.
The first team lead by Matt Field has seen action on
the SITS battlefield several times before and it showed
as they ate up lap after lap on the outstanding course.
The "Fun Team" seemd to live up to their name
by enjoying every moment of the event and it was awesome
to watch 5 strangers gel into a team and then bond into
5 friends over the 24hour period. Lastly the "Road
Team", so named as it was made up of riders more
inclined to spend there time on skinny tyres, put in
a solid performance with the aid of secret weapon "Big
Micky Fuller"!
So with the event done and dusted and now cought up
on some much needed sleep I think that it can be said
an outstanding time was had by all. We shall be back...!
A very big thank you to all Wafe riders and an equally
big thank you to the support crew of friends and family.
